Ashley Riffle was recently nominated by her history teacher, Mr. Fred Ware, to the Congressional Youth Leadership Council this past December. In May Ashley received a letter from the NYLC explaining that her nomination was approved. Her nomination was based on her 3.8 GPA while participating in several extra-curricular activities and over 100 hours of community service during the 2006-2007 academic year. An invitation to be a part of the National Youth Leadership Conference in October was also extended to Riffle. Riffle will be a sophomore this year and is currently raising the funds needed to participate in the October Conference while also volunteering at Mon General Hospital. Ashley needs to reach her goal of by June 30th.
